The Hammonds House Museum is a unique part of Atlanta’s arts scene. Founded in 1988, Hammonds House Museum is the only one of Atlanta’s fine arts museums that focuses on artists of African descent. Its 250-piece collection features the work of African American artists from the late 19th century through the present day.

Hammonds House Museum is located in a 19th-century Victorian home in Atlanta’s historic West End. The facility is available to host meetings, weddings, receptions and other private functions. The museum’s gift shop sells books, jewelry, accessories, artwork, exhibition catalogues and other items. Approximately 16,000 people visit Hammonds House Museum each year.
