This event has passed.

Atlanta Freedom Bands marks a half century of activism, acceptance, and advancement at its “Stonewall 50 Celebration”. The evening begins with a “Stonewall Stories – From Christopher Street to Peachtree Street” panel of speakers discussing the history and influence of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising. Then AFB’s 70-piece Concert Band will take the stage with powerful music from LGBTQ composers. The emcee for the evening will be the fabulous Miss Priscilla Buffet. AFB welcomes special guest, Justin Raines, Artistic Director of the Gay Freedom Band of Los Angeles to conduct a new work he has written just for the occasion that reflects on the influence over Stonewall on the last fifty years.
