Shaken, Not Stirred Gala

The Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance (GOCA) announces the 2024 Shaken, Not Stirred Gala set for Saturday, March 9 at the Georgia Aquarium. Guests are invited to join the board of directors for an evening of elegance and purpose in support of GOCA’s ovarian cancer patient outreach programs, education initiatives and awareness efforts across the state.

The gala will feature exquisite dining prepared by Les Dames d’Escoffier - Atlanta Chapter Members, specialty cocktails, casino games, dazzling live and silent auctions, a 360 video booth and entertainment from the Celebrity All Star Band.

“We look forward to bringing the Shaken, Not Stirred Gala back to the Georgia Aquarium this year and expanding our celebration to include even more of the community with special ticket options for ovarian cancer survivors and young professionals,” said Doug Barron, GOCA’s executive director. “The funds raised during this special night help us reach women across Georgia with lifesaving information about the risks and symptoms of ovarian cancer that can lead to early detection.”


Attire is black tie-optional, and festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m. Sponsorships, tables and individual tickets are available to purchase at gaovariancancer.org/events.



The mission of the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance (GOCA), a 501c-3 non-profit, is to increase awareness and educate Georgia’s women of all ages and their families, as well as the healthcare community about the risks and symptoms leading to early detection. GOCA serves the state of Georgia with public outreach programs, education and awareness efforts. With no sure way of predicting ovarian cancer and no single screening test to identify it at the earlier, pre-symptomatic stages, awareness and education are critical for all women in order to protect themselves from late-stage ovarian cancer.
