From Civil War to Civil Rights DTour

Follow the history of Atlanta from a major Civil War battlefield to the center of the Civil Rights movement. Stops will include:

Cabbagetown - an historic cotton mill-town established in the late 19th century

Inman Park - site of the Battle of Atlanta, this neighborhood has many decorative Victorian homes including the founder of Coca Cola

Oakland Cemetery - the garden cemetery is the final resting place for thousands of Civil War soldiers, Margaret Mitchell, author of Gone with the Wind and Bobby Jones, founder of The Masters

Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site - the district includes the birthplace, church and final resting place of the leader of the Civil Rights movement
