Artful Stories: A Boy and a Jaguar

Date:
This event has passed.

Surrounded by jaguar vessels from Central America, children will hear the true story of zoologist and animal conservationist Alan Rabinowitz and learn about how his childhood experiences with a jaguar at the Bronx Zoo helped him cope as a stutterer and grow up to become a protector of big cats-especially jaguars! Children will prowl around the Art of the Americas galleries in search of jaguars, powerful symbols to the ancient Americans, before creating their own jaguar to take home.

For preschoolers and kindergarteners with an accompanying adult.

This program is free, but registration is required by contacting Alyson Vuley at 404-727-0519 or avuley@emory.edu.
