An Author’s Afternoon at Oakland: Chet Wallace

Date:
This event has passed.

Join us for a discussion with author Chet Wallace on his latest book, Stories of the Winecoff Fire: A Dedication to the Memory of the 119.
This work gives an intimate glimpse into the very real human lives that were lost on that infamous day in 1946 when the “absolutely fireproof” Winecoff Hotel caught fire in the early hours of December 7th.
The author will be available to sign books after the talk. Copies of the book will be available for purchase as well.
The event will be held in Oakland Cemetery Bell Tower’s Bobby Jones Room, overlooking the beautiful western view of the grounds and the Atlanta skyline.
