The Battery Atlanta sits just outside SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. Besides being a concert venue and shopping destination, The Battery Is packed with restaurants. Take a look at some of our favorites:

  • CRU Wine Bar – While it may seem strange to indulge in a wine tasting at a baseball stadium, CRU is a lovely venue with incredible wines, perfect for oenophiles. CRU offers three, 2-ounce pours of various varieties, including about eight different reds and about five different whites and one rosé. Flights have names like "Benchmark Cabs" and "Marvelous Merlots." Lobster pot stickers (my favorite) and a bruschetta with figs are great items to nosh on while you sip your wine(s).

  • FEED Fried Chicken and Such – FEED's chicken comes from Springer Mountain Farms, which means no hormones or antibiotics. Everything is made in house at FEED including sauces and desserts. Choose from regular Southern fried (no heat), Atlanta hot (medium) or Cluck’N Inferno (crazy hot). You can’t go wrong with the Atlanta hot sandwich (FEED's version of Nashville hot). This huge spicy chicken breast comes slathered with Alabama white sauce. It was the best thing I ate during my visit and one of the most popular items. Just want fried chicken? Customize things any way you want, ordering by the piece, white only, dark only or a bucket.

  • Sports and Social – This spot is for adults so leave the kiddos at home if you plan on coming here. In the spring, take advantage of the second story patio. The small menu features mostly pub food like burgers and wings. Burgers are two 4-ounce patties on a brioche bun. I recommend the BBQ brisket or guacamole queso burger. Skip the watered-down cocktails in favor of the craft beer.

  • Todd English Tavern – Todd English, a world famous chef, really is passionate about the food he serves at all his restaurants. He made sure to be there for the opening to oversee that his restaurant at The Battery lived up to his high standards. This restaurant is a foodie destination, whether you are going before or after a Braves game or not. Besides tasty flatbreads like duck prosciutto, there are heartier items like the roasted snapper or flank steak. Rest assured, it’s hard to make a bad choice here.

Tip: When parking, head to the red lot which is free for up to four hours during non-event times.
