With summer fully under way, take a look at some of these fun things to do in July, from Fourth of July celebrations to concerts to pub crawls.

  1. Red, White & Brew brings the Fourth of July celebration to the Georgia Aquarium and includes beer, food, live music, and views of beluga whales, manta rays and whale sharks in the Oceans Ballroom. July 1.

  2. Enjoy the Fantastic Fourth Celebration at Stone Mountain Park, featuring a spectacular laser show and fireworks. July 1 - 4. 

  3. The July 4th Fest lights up Six Flags Over Georgia with fireworks and frivolity every evening. July 2 - 4.

  4. Centennial Olympic Park teams up with Lenox Square Mall to host a free 4th of July celebration with fireworks and synchronized music. Arrive early since gates close when the park is full. July 4.

  5. Lace up for the AJC Peachtree Road Race, which follows a 10K course from Buckhead to Piedmont Park. July 4.

  6. Atlanta Shortsfest shows films fewer than 45 minutes long from a variety of genres at Synchronicity Theatre. July 7 - 8.

  7. See national music acts at Concerts in the Garden at Atlanta Botanical Garden. July - September.

  8. Atlanta Field Day invites you to get a team together to compete in fun outdoor contests for prizes at Historic Fourth Ward Park. July 15.

  9. The Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival features tomato-based dishes and drinks from some of the South’s best chefs and mixologists. July 16.

  10. The Atlanta Ice Cream Festival features ice cream for sale, entertainment, vendors and fitness events at Piedmont Park. July 22.

  11. The BB&T Atlanta Open is a televised annual men’s tennis tournament held at Atlantic Station. July 22 - 30.

  12. The Tournament of Champions brings hundreds of teenage teams to the Georgia World Congress Center to compete in an interscholastic sporting event. July 27 - 29.

  13. The Zombie Pub Crawl includes drinks, food discounts, and zombie make-up, and it invades five pubs and restaurants along North Highland Avenue. July 29.
