At first glance, Buckhead seems all shiny and new — full of new stores and office towers. And, that’s true. But that doesn’t mean that Buckhead doesn’t have its fair share of sports bars where beer rules and the ratio of television sets to customers is key. Here are several of our favorite sports bars in Buckhead.

  1. Buckhead Saloon is a laid-back, high-energy place where sports are always on the many high-def screens. With two stories to choose from including a rooftop deck you will want to experience this Atlanta nightlife staple.

    Location:
    3227 Roswell Road NE

  2. Dantanna’s, located adjacent to Lenox Square mall, is a sports bar for those who appreciate great food along with television sets. We recommend the surf & turf to go along with your favorite beverage to complete the experience.

    Location:
    3400 Around Lenox Road #304

  3. Elbow Room Bar is an authentic dive and proud of it. The Elbow Room, located on Pharr Road, has lots of televisions, pizza, wings, beer-battered onion rings, and, oh yeah, plenty of beer and specialty drinks to indulge in as you witch the game with fellow sports fans.
    Location: 248 Pharr Road NE

  4. Fado Irish Pub & Restaurant is everything you’d want an Irish pub to be -- hearty food, cold beer and lots of televisions so you can discuss whatever sports team is on the tube. Irish pubs are always the social center of their communities, and Fado is exactly that in Buckhead. Of course, Fado is a fantastic place to watch American football, but stop by when soccer is playing and it’s a whole different experience.

    Location:
     273 Buckhead Ave. NE

  5. Twin Peaks features food made from scratch ranging from hearty to light and fresh. It can be served with ice cold beer and “all the sports you can handle.” And, it gets even better. The folks at Twin Peaks brew their own beer.

    Location:
     Piedmont Road NE

  6. Woofs on Piedmont is a sports bar aimed at serving the LGBTQ community but welcomes all to make it their home to watch their favorite team. Woofs invites customers to watch their favorite team on one of 31 televisions while eating hearty pub fare. In addition to great food, Woofs sponsors numerous LGBTQ sports teams and leagues. So it is all in on sports.

    Location: 2425 Piedmont Road NE

  7. Lost Dog Tavern. Remember that favorite college bar? Well, Lost Dog is the grown-up version of that. There is an amazing dog friendly patio, and upstairs is a classic sports bar with booth-style tables so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the game. It's open 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Hours vary so check the Facebook page for daily hours.

    Location:
    3182 Roswell Road NW

  8. Industry Tavern. This hidden gem is a great place to enjoy any big game or match. It has an upgraded neighborhood-watering-hole feel and offers some of the best bar bites in Buckhead. Plenty of TVs and industrial decor give you a modern sports bar that hits all the right notes to enjoy for a few hours any night of the week.

    Location:
    3280 Peachtree Road NE #187
