March festivals are just around the corner. Here's the skinny on what festivals are coming up in Atlanta:

  • Manna’s Winter Blues Fundraiser, March 4
    Memphis and Atlanta blues highlight a fundraiser that features great music, a BBQ contest, beer, and Elvis and also supports the Manna Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to those with eating disorders.

  • Jewish Music FestivalMarch 10-27
    With 18 events over 16 days, the 7th annual Jewish Music Festival offers a diverse lineup of local, national and international musicians.

  • St. Patrick’s Day ParadeMarch 12
    Atlanta’s St. Patrick’s Day parade started in 1858 and is still going strong today with floats, clowns, band, bagpipe and drums, and drill teams. The parade starts at 15th Street and goes down Peachtree Street to 5th Street.

  • Atlanta Science FestivalMarch 19-26
    This year’s festival offers 100 STEM/STEAM activities at more than 50 locations and will feature experiments, performances, discussions, workshops, tasking and more that connects scientists, teachers, children and entrepreneurs. 

  • Dad’s Garage Theatre 16th Annual BaconFestMarch 26
    A fixture in the Atlanta community, the kitschy festival combines troughs upon troughs of cold beer and sizzlin' bacon with hilarious carnival games like a hobo wine tasting, naughty face painting and a drunken spelling bee performed by the best improvisers in the city. All proceeds benefit Dad’s Garage, a nonprofit theater company.

  • Atlanta Science Fair Exploration Expo, March 26
    This free interactive science event is open to adults, families and children of all ages. The expo promotes science exploration, discovery and innovation with more than 100 interactive exhibits, hands-on experiments, demonstrations and performances. Meet local scientists and engineers.
