It’s nearly 2020. Ring it with hundreds of your friends. Pick a party at one of these fabulous hotels and sing "Auld Lang Syne" to 2019 and say, "Bonjour," to 2020. Here are some of our favorite hotel New Year’s Eve parties in Atlanta.
1. Dine at the Waldorf
The Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead presents a couple of New Year Eve’s options, a three-course dinner for those rushing off to midnight celebrations ($98 per person), and a more lavish six-course tasting menu for those who want to have their customary champagne at the hotel ($220) per person. Both menus feature truffle beef carpaccio, pan-seared duck foie gras and steamed wild bass.
2. Rock out at the Whitley
Buckhead’s Whitley Hotel features live music rockers Subtle Jones, party favors, late night bites and an open bar. New Year’s dinner at Trade Root starts at 6 p.m. and costs $110 for the five-course meal. The 8:30 p.m. seating includes the five courses, plus a champagne toast and costs $125 per adult. For those who celebrated a bit too much, there is a Red Eye Brunch on New Year’s Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $49 for adults; $22 for children 6 through 12.
3. Ring it in with wine
Ring in 2020 in the St. Regis Wine Room with live music, drinks and lots of fun.
4. Try dinner at Kimpton Overland
Near the airport at the Kimpton Overland Hotel the restaurant, Apron, offers its dinner menu until 12:30 a.m. The bar is open until 1 a.m., and there is a complimentary sparkling wine toast for all guests dining at midnight.
5. Sleep over at the Ritz
Let the clock wind down at the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta Downtown with overnight accommodations in a deluxe guest room, executive suite or Club Level guest room. Enjoy dinner at AG with a specially curated menu as well as a welcoming bottle of chilled sparking wine. You’ll also get a $150 dining credit to be used toward the New Year’s Eve dinner at AG. Prices vary.
6. Knock it out of the park at The Battery
The Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta rings in 2020 with a bang. Guests enjoy casino games as they eat, drink and dance to live music by Atlanta’s Contagious Band. Just before midnight, guests head up to the rooftop pool deck to enjoy champagne, dessert and fireworks. The New Year’s Eve package includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, a reception-style buffet, beer, wine and signature cocktails as well as overnight accommodations and breakfast.
7. Make Yours Old-Fashioned
The Holiday Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport-North is having an Old School New Year’s Eve celebration with college football, cards, dominoes and cigars. $45.
8. Party like an urban professional
The Hilton Atlanta South describes its New Year’s Eve party as the “No. 1 party for urban professionals.” DJ Traci Steele gets the party started. There are four comedy shows, a balloon drop, midnight buffet and hotel room packages.
9. Go black tie
Join Jalonnie Kasi for an upscale black tie gala at Midtown’s Artmore Hotel. The event features a fashion show and Las Vegas casino-style party. $75.
10. It's Frankenstein's Ball for the family
Looking for something a bit different? Well, the Highland Inn and Ballroom in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood is your place. The inn is hosting Frankenstein’s Ball, an immersive party experience that’s part party, part theatrical play. You’ll be involved in the experience, interacting with characters and fellow guests. The family-friendly party brings live music, dancing, food and drinks. $110 - $175.
11. Get festive at Serenbe
The Inn at Serenbe is in a festive mood with the party starting at 10 p.m. and going to 1 a.m. in the Inn Oak Room with alcohol, party favors, hors d’oeuvres, DJ and dancing. $80.
12. Party for a good cause
How about partying and feeling good about yourself? Well, then go the the Hampton Inn Atlanta-Buckhead and enjoy the Benefit AID for Others, a cause that supports homeless veterans and HIV/AIDS individuals. Check into the hotel and relax until 8:30 p.m. with DJ Maine Source and Mr. Robert the Photographer. For those spending the night, the package includes the room, free parking, hot buffet breakfast, dinner and party hats. Couples: $300; singles: $180. Dinner and party: $200 couples; $100 singles.
13. Mingle at the Peachtree Plaza
It’s hours of fun at the Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel with a five-hour open bar, four top DJs, three areas to mingle and two floors of excitement. There is a VIP package. $95 to $749.
14. Say Happy New Year in Buckhead
The JW Marriott in Buckhead is the site of a Sol Fusion 2020 NYE celebration. Prices range from $50 to $1,795 (for a VIP table for six).
15. Bonnie & Clyde will not attend
Bonnie & Clyde’s Masquerade Ball returns to the Renaissance Atlanta Airport and features an open bar, artisan hors d’oeuvre bar, dinner buffet and champagne toast. Various prices.
