One of Atlanta's main thoroughfares is the popular Peachtree Street, which connects attendees to each of Atlanta's meeting districts, Buckhead, Midtown and Downtown. To explore the different districts, those in your group can opt for rideshare or call upon that urban adventurer inside as they ride MARTA—the Red/Gold Rail Line is the main artery, providing easy and undaunting access to the city's delights.

Here's what attendees can expect with each district:

Downtown- The Olympian of Conventions

Located in the heart of Atlanta, this meetings and events epicenter is just a short MARTA ride from the airport, so it's an ideal place to gather some folks! In true downtown fashion, this district has something for everyone—Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame, a center dedicated to the civil rights movement, and even a Coca-Cola treasure trove. There are also fun-filled restaurants, live music halls and a Ferris wheel for the views. As always, the lodging options are aplenty, from the budget-friendly Courtyard by Marriot Atlanta Downtown to the lavish Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta. Downtown is a sure bet!

Midtown- "Heart of the Arts"

Modern Industrialism runs strong in this once warehouse-riddled neighborhood. After years of development, Midtown boasts a strong art scene with private galleries, design studios and museums that host a plethora of special events. If your group is especially creative, Midtown is highly recommended. Nestled throughout the urban landscape, there are fabulous hotels, like the elegant glamor of the Georgian Terrace, the funky vibrancy of the Moxy Atlanta or the fun and functional Georgia Tech Hotel & Convention Center. It's just a few MARTA stops from the main downtown district, so let your people roam free in this inspiring district!

Buckhead- The Center of Urban Luxury

Fine dining, high-end shopping and deliciously modern architecture flank the streets of this Atlanta neighborhood on the north end of Peachtree. Here, eating is a whole new experience. Discover critically-acclaimed, award-winning restaurants, or be a little more informal with gastropub goodness at The Southern Gentleman. And if your attendees are looking for a little retail therapy, they can find antiques, boutiques and luxury shopping malls. For stay options, meeting-friendly hotels abound in Buckhead, and several are new and newly renovated.

It's all pretty alluring, isn’t it? Just remember, Atlanta is a wonderfully accessible city! If you need any guidance, send ACVB an RFP today to be on your way to your best meeting yet!
