Whether you choose to eat vegan for a healthy lifestyle, religion or other reasons, that doesn’t mean you are relegated to a bland diet. You’re in luck if you live in Atlanta, because we’ve got an awesome list of amazing vegan spots.

  • Alon’s – Think Alon’s is all baked goods? Nope. If offers lots of vegan items. These include chickpea basil spinach salad and curried Israeli couscous.

  • Bezoria – Located in the heart of Midtown is the fast casual Mediterranean spot Bezoria. Vegans will love the vegan bowl, which comes with rice as a base and is topped with falafel, sauteed veggies, and toppings like tomato/cucumber salad and Baba Ghanoush.

  • Bhojanic – Located in Buckhead, Bhojanic is a delightful Indian restaurant with lots of spicy vegan options available such as daal makhini (black lentils) or bhindi masala (sauteed okra with caramelized onions).

  • Cafe Sunflower – This is a longstanding vegetarian/vegan restaurant serving up award-winning vegetarian food in Buckhead and Sandy Springs. It gets busy on weekends so be sure to make reservations.

  • Dulce Vegan – This vegan bakery and cafe in Kirkwood serves up some fantastic sweets. Fans rave about the cinnamon rolls. Order special cakes to go as well.

  • El Myr – Love Mexican food? If you are looking for a spot for both meat eaters and vegans, this is for you. Make burritos vegan by omitting the cheese. And the atmosphere is very festive.

  • Fuego Mundo – Located just inside the Perimeter, Fuego Mundo features an extremely vegan-friendly menu. Tofu steak is really popular and sides like plantains, rice, beans and quinoa are vegan.

  • Harmony Vegetarian – If you are craving Chinese and looking for vegan, look no further than Harmony Vegetarian on Buford Highway. It serves up mock meats, and the General Tso’s Chicken and curry pockets are highlights. There also is a terrific lunch special.

  • R. Thomas – Healthy vegetarian and vegan in Buckhead that is open 24 hours per day. Get the chopped tempeh or the raw vegan dinner.

  • Sevananda – In a hurry? Head to this natural foods market. More than a market, Sevananda offers a great buffet vegan lunch.

  • Soul Vegetarian – Think that soul food and vegan food are mutually exclusive? Not at Soul Vegetarian. Located in Poncey Highland, guests rave about the kale bone steak and vegan mac and cheese.

  • Southern Sweets – If you’ve got vegan guests in town and want to have sweets for them, this is the place to shop. Located in Decatur, Southern Sweets has many different varieties of vegan sweets and cakes like red velvet or peanut butter chocolate. Yum!

  • Tassili’s Raw Reality – This divey spot may not have the most appealing décor but the food is incredible. Get the kale wrap or punani wrap. If you want to sample a variety of items, get the combination platter with up to six different items.
