If you're looking for fun things to do in Atlanta for you and a four-legged friend this Halloween, we've got you covered – no matter if you are visiting or live in the area. Here are some ways to enjoy Halloween in the metro area with your furry companion.

1. Enter the season in style.

First, you need to pick out the purrfect Halloween costume for your pet, which makes shopping around twice the fun. Get inspired by Atlanta's best features for you and your pet's costume this year, and don't forget to tag us on Instagram when posting y'all's photo.

2. Book a room.

If you're visiting Atlanta for one of the city's many haunts, stay at one of our pet friendly hotels when traveling with your companion. Cuddle up with your buddy and watch a scary movie at places like the W Atlanta - Buckhead, which provides custom pet beds, food, water bowls, litter boxes, and even has a dog walking service.

3. Scooby Doo and the Gang ain't got nothin'.

What better time to visit Atlanta's first graveyard than around Halloween? You'll need your best friend when roaming the resting places of Atlanta's many ancestors at historic Oakland Cemetery. And whether or not your dog has a sixth sense, just be sure to bring a leash and clean up bags.

4. Lick your plate clean.

After roaming grave sites, you both will need some Southern comfort, so hop on over to Augustine's or other restaurants near Oakland Cemetery, which have outdoor dining areas for you and your little one. You can also enjoy Atlanta's many other pet friendly dining options with large menus and special treats.

5. Strut your stuff.

Dress up with your favorite pooch and strut your stuff for a good cause at Costumes on the Woof benefiting Best Friends - Atlanta on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6-9 p.m. at Loews Atlanta Hotel. The evening will feature a runway show and costume contest with celebrity guest judges including Instagram celebrity @TunaMeltsMyHeart, TV personality Nikky Williams, AJC radio and TV columnist Rodney Ho, and local comedian and writer and media personality Ashley Hesseltine as the runway show emcee.
