Think Cupid is Stupid? You aren’t alone. Gather with like-minded singles at these five spots for those celebrating their independence or looking for love (in all the right places, of course).
Cypress Street Pint & Plate
For those single and ready to mingle this Valentine’s Day, the crew at Cypress Street Pint and Plate invites guests to join them as they celebrate singlehood during their second annual Valentine’s Day Solo Party. Kicking off at 8 p.m. Sat., Feb. 14, guests will enjoy beer specials of $1 PBR’s and $2 SweetWater IPA’s during this anti-love affair.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., join fellow singles for “Stupid Cupid” specials like “Jilted Juice” shots for $4 or start strong with a pitcher of the “Rebound-a-Rita,” for $25. Keep the party going with the “Misery Loves Company” dinner special. Available for $80 plus tax and gratuity, this meal serves up to five people and will include chips and dip, tacos and a pitcher of margaritas.
From 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., the restaurant hosts a Broken Hearts Club singles party with all-you-can-eat pizza and all-you-can-drink beer and bubbly. Party tickets are $29 per person in advance; $39 at the door.
Valentine’s Eve it may be worth being single at Park Tavern. Yacht Rock Schooner will perform the best of the smooth 70's & 80's love songs during “An Evening of Silly Love Songs” on Fri., Feb. 13th. During this Valentine’s Eve performance, Park Tavern's Piedmont Room will offer a cocktail setup with full bar and an amazing view of the Midtown Skyline, followed by half-priced sushi downstairs in the Olmsted room after the show. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and tickets are available for $15 online or $20 at the door.
Swipe Right, Crawl Left Bar Crawl
The "Swipe Right, Crawl Left" bar crawl in the Highlands will stop at Diesel, Limerick Junction, Dark Horse Tavern and Neighbor's Pub. Registered attendees will enjoy complimentary Valentine's Day themed shots, a Cupid photo booth, food/drink specials and a surprise perk for the registered ladies. Additionally, at 11 p.m., Diesel will host a mini "Dating Game" hosted by local comedian Chris Marler. One lady and three men will participate in the dating game, and the winning couple will get a bottle of champagne and a private table.
