5 Active Father’s Day Adventures in Atlanta

Father’s Day is quickly approaching, and we can think of no better way to celebrate Dad than with a bit of fun. Here are five active family adventures that promise to be just that.
Father’s Day is quickly approaching, and we can think of no better way to celebrate Dad than with a bit of fun. Here are five active family adventures that promise to be just that. 

  1. Take a hike.
    Looking for something free to do on Father’s Day that includes sunshine and fresh air? Atlanta is chock full of great hiking trails to enjoy with the entire family. Here is a list of 5 Great Trails to Run or Walk Around Atlanta. Be sure to a pack a lunch and enjoy a post-workout family picnic.

  1. Play Topgolf.
    The entire family can tee off at Atlanta’s “premiere golf entertainment complex where the competition of sport meets your favorite local hangout.” Up to six people can play, starting at just $25 per hour.

  1. Go rock climbing.
    Every Wednesday is Family Day at Atlanta Rocks. Experienced climbers can go during their daytime Family Climb hours or families can take a class together in the evening. Up to five family members can learn to rock climb for a flat rate of $50. Reservations are highly recommended.

  1. Rent bikes or take a bike tour.
    Looking for a family experience on the Atlanta BeltLine? Read our 9 Things to Do on the Atlanta BeltLine. Participants can rent bikes from Atlanta Beltline Bicycle for just $20 per day or $5 an hour (2-hour minimum.) Another option is to take a three-hour, 10-mile historic tour of the city with Bicycle Tours of Atlanta

  1. Run a 5K.
    Celebrate Father's Day Weekend with Atlanta Track Club and the Atlanta Braves at the Braves Country 5K. This family-friendly event also includes a One Mile Fun Run and Kilometer Kids Dash. Each 5K registration will include a ticket to that evening’s match-up against the New York Mets and a Mizuno shirt. Participants are invited to walk in the pregame parade at Turner Field before the start of that evening’s game and enjoy a free post-game concert with Boyz II Men.
