11 Tasty Atlanta Restaurants to Eat at During Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month. It's a good reminder that spring break and the summer season are just around the corner. Get your bod in shape with these tasty, healthful options.

  1. Chai Pani – Healthy choices at this Decatur spot include street snacks like corn bhel with roasted corn, cucumber, cilantro, mint, tomato and onions tossed with cumin-lime dressing, and green mango chat with peanuts, golden raisins, green chutney and fried curry leaves. These dishes are a great way to eat healthy while still treating yourself.

  2. Chow Bing – You don’t have to sacrifice taste for healthy when dining at Chow Bing. Most of the meats are organic. And dishes are made to order. Get the Clean & Lean (chicken and broccoli with cilantro sauce).

  3. Davio’s – Farro salad features cauliflower, avocado, peas, peppadews and parmigiano. It’s the perfect twist on a traditional salad. Plus Davio's also has a vegan menu that features quinoa with mixed squash, Italian vegetable ragout and more.

  4. Divan – Get the shirazi salad featuring fresh vegetables and a house-made lemon vinaigrette. Also, the delicious and colorful beets salad is topped with arugula, goat cheese and ginger lemon dressing. It will keep you satisfied without any guilt.

  5. Farm to Ladle – Detox slaw is made with kale, green and purple cabbage, black sesame seeds and topped with a cider vinaigrette. This item is both gluten free and vegetarian. Also the vegetarian wrap is filled with mixed greens, tomatoes, carrots and house-made hummus. All these ingredients are wrapped up in a tortilla wrap.

  6. Farmburger – Swap your burger for a salad at Farmburger, with the daily salad. Greens are topped with organic vegetables like turnips, radishes, roasted squash and pickled veggies. And you can top it with a grass-fed beef patty. Or get a superfood salad made with kale, roasted carrots, caramelized onions, dried cranberries, pecans and tahini dressing.

  7. Fogo de Chao – On the Market Table, Fogo offers a kale and orange salad made with a top-10 superfood and topped with a delicious citrus dressing. Fogo also has a tabouleh made with with quinoa, which is gluten free.

  8. Foxtrot Liquor Bar –  A bar for healthy eating? Yes. This Midtown spot has the Dr. Feelgood mocktail. It is made with fermented beet juice, yuzu, celery bitters and black pepper.

  9. Local Three – I think of pork dishes when I think about this Buckhead restaurant, but a tabouleh with a twist is quite wonderful, too. Made with farro and quinoa, there’s also spinach, chickpeas, sunflower seeds, sprouts and feta. The dressing is a maple-tahini vinaigrette. It's filling without leaving you lethargic.

  10. Lure – Sure, you know it for the fantastic seafood. But for a healthy alternative, get the seared cauliflower steak, which diners have found to be a hearty, healthy and delicious meat alternative. The dish has been popular with both carnivores and herbivores. 

  11. Sway – Located in the Hyatt Regency downtown, Sway has lovely Southern dishes. Create your own salad and top it with healthy options like salmon or chicken. Or choose from the “Perfectly Portioned” menu, which includes items like a vegetable bowl or salmon with quinoa.
