Adapted from the short stories written by Damon Runyon, “The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown” and “Blood Pressure”. The show unfolds as the story of four people, Nathan Detroit (who makes money out of the oldest floating crap game), his girlfriend Miss Adelaide (a talented nightclub star who constantly bugs him about getting hitched), Sky Masterson (a player and gambler who bets that he can instantly woo the next girl he’ll bump into), and Miss Sarah Brown (a missionary and subject of the bet the two men made). It’s a funny and crazy tale of love, game and risk all mashed up in a spunky and timeless musical that still continues to resonate to this day.
