Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is recognized as one of the finest orchestras in the United States. Since its founding nearly 70 years ago, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus has produced 100 recordings and garnered more than two dozen Grammy Awards. The 95-member Atlanta Symphony Orchestra presents more than 200 concerts annually, including classical, pops and family concerts. ASO pays tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through its yearly King Celebration.

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Venues
Chief venue for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is the Atlanta Symphony Hall, located at Woodruff Arts Center in Midtown Atlanta. Each summer, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra schedules outdoor concerts at Northwest Atlanta's Chastain Park Amphitheatre. In 2008 the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra unveiled the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, a 12,000-seat concert venue just north of Atlanta in Encore Park and has plans to expand further in the near future.
