Petit Le Mans
October 1-4, 2014
The IMSA announced a new 12-race schedule for the 2014 debut season of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship series, a result of the recent merger between the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón (ALMS).
The inaugural season features 12 of the best sports car racing facilities in North America. The Petit Le Mans continues as the season finale event and retains its status as a link with the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda, a sports car endurance race held annually at Road Atlanta covers a maximum of 1,000 miles or 10 hours of racing, whichever comes first.
In addition to the overall race, the event features teams of two or three drivers per car competing for class victories in four different classes of cars. Class winners of the Petit Le Mans receive an automatic invitation to the following year's 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Bring the whole family to Petit Le Mans. Kids under 12 get in free with a paid adult and the Petit Pit Stop area has bounce houses, face painting and more. Vendor Village in the Midway is the place to go for food, games and interactive displays and merchandise sales.
