The 2007 NCAA Tournament will mark the 30th anniversary of Atlanta's first NCAA Men's Final Four in 1977. Atlanta has a rich tradition is hosting great sports events and we are thrilled to welcome the NCAA, its fan, players and coaches back to Atlanta and to the great Georgia Dome.

A great deal has changed since 1977, when Al McGuire led the Marquette Warriors to their first National Championship against North Carolina in the old Omni. In 1977, the tournament featured only 32 teams, instead of the 65 teams that will play for the opportunity to be in Atlanta for the 2007 NCAA Men's Final Four¨. The old Omni arena seated only 16,300 fans, whereas the Georgia Dome will host over 54,000 fans. The NCAA Men's Final Four has grown from three basketball games to a weekend of exciting basketball surrounded by unique and exciting opportunities for fans and locals alike to experience all the excitement of the Final Four.
