A full week of festivities to celebrate the birthday and contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Events include the annual Commemorative Service at Ebenezer Baptist Church and the King day Community Service Project. Other events, as well as exhibits, children’s activities and concerts take place throughout the city.

HBCU CULTURE HOMECOMING FEST & BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Cheer on your favorite HBCU Band as they go head to head, and battle it out at the State Farm Arena. The battle of the bands features six marching bands from various Historically Black Colleges and Universities with show-stopping performances including precision drumlines, high energy routines, and live entertainment from HBCU alumni and supporters across the nation.
