Juneteenth Atlanta Parade & Music Festival 2017

Date:
Through 6/18/2017

We getting started early... Juneteenth Atlanta celebrates the greatest event that occurred in America's history, the abolishment of slavery and the freedom of the last enslaved African descendants known today as African Americans/African descendants/. The main emphasis is on commemorating our ancestors and acknowledging 150-plus years of African/African American achievements. We recognize our biggest achievements as always being our newest generations full of promise and opportunity. We are planning a three-day music festival and a Juneteenth black history parade that invites entries from the Southeastern United States, Africa, and the Caribbean Islands. Our 2017 event is going all out to promote family unity, community unity, children's activities, genealogy research, black-owned-businesses, speakers, the arts and much more. Get involved now and let's work together towards one of the biggest and best Juneteenth celebrations anywhere.
