Atlanta Dogwood Festival

Spring festival season icon

When: April 12 – 14, 2024
Where: Piedmont Park

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival is Atlanta’s annual celebration of the blooming of its native dogwood trees. For more than 80 years, the Dogwood arts festival has filled Midtown Atlanta’s Piedmont Park with live music, arts and crafts, food booths and family-friendly activities. In 2012, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival was ranked No. 35 in the Sunshine Artist Magazine Best 200 fine arts festivals in the United States.

The juried fine art Artist Market features the best of more than 750 artist entries from across the continent each year to participate in one of the first shows of the festival season. Visitors can browse, appreciate and purchase one-of-a-kind works of art, as well as discuss the creative spark behind the works with the artists themselves.

Back by popular demand! The International Stage on the Lake Clara Meer dock has been a festival favorite for more than a decade. Throughout the weekend, this stage will offer up performances celebrating the many global communities that call Atlanta home. From salsa to Irish dance or from flamenco to Chinese folk and Caribbean music, this stage presents a tour of the world.

Throughout the weekend, the festival offers a variety of live music on the Coca-Cola Main Stage. Whether taking a seat on the lawn or kicking back in the Corona Light Beer Garden, visitors will enjoy the variety of local bands, emerging artists and party bands in a range of musical genres.

Another outstanding way to experience live music at the festival, the ticketed Party in the Park welcomes attendees to the VIP area with its perfect view of the Main Stage. A range of ticket levels is available (with and without lunch), and guests will have access to dedicated food trucks, beer and wine tasting, a private bar, a luxe restroom trailer, seating and more. Tickets will be available starting in February at dogwood.org

For several years, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival Mimosa 5K has welcomed runners, joggers, walkers, rollers and strollers to enjoy a beautiful route through historic Midtown in fine spring air. Following the race, which is an AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier, participants (21+) can sip a mimosa in the park then stay to enjoy festival Saturday.

A juried art competition recognizes artistic achievement in such categories as sculpture, painting, jewelry and photography. The Kid’s Village features arts and crafts, face painting, rock climbing and huge inflatables that are sure to please kids of all ages. Children and adults alike will delight in the offering of rides at the 2024 festival. Bringing an air of excitement to the park, the ticketed rides appeal to both adventure seekers and those looking for gentler amusement.
