The Atlanta Preservation Center is the agency for coordination, knowledge, research and advocacy for preservation in the City. Founded in November 1979, APC works with government, business and community leaders and individuals to preserve endangered residential and commercial structures, neighborhoods and landscapes.
The Center’s Guided Walking Tours of historic neighborhoods and sites, educational programs, lectures, home and garden tour and award-winning festival, The Phoenix Flies: A Citywide Celebration of Living Landmarks, along with other special events, teach students, residents and visitors about the value of protecting and redeveloping Atlanta’s landmark sites.
