CLEVELAND, Ga. - BabyLand General Hospital, Home of the Cabbage Patch Kids, celebrates its 35th Anniversary. The Southern style home is in the foothills of the Appalachians just 75 miles north of Atlanta, near Helen, Georgia. Free Admission. The self-guided tour begins in the Fathers' Waiting Room, where a uniformed LPN (Licensed Patch Nurse) welcomes all visitors. See some of creator Xavier Roberts earliest soft-sculpture babies on display. Considered highly prized works of art, some readopt from $30,000-$50,000. Hospital staff available for adoption consultations and assist Mother Cabbage with deliveries. Granite-faced, Mt. Yonah, is the backdrop. The 70,000 sq. ft. building on 650 acres also offers space for birthday parties, weddings and meetings.
