Embrace
Embrace ’08 - now in its third year –will bring together top
fine art galleries from all over the country and beyond, featuring original
collector-quality art of the African Diaspora. This four-day fine art event
will be held at Mason Murer Fine Art in Midtown, July 17-20.
Fernbank Museum of Natural History
Fernbank Family Fun Days are a series of themed activity days that feature hands-on
activities, crafts, performances and more. Education Alley is a special hands-on
learning area located within each special exhibition.
Georgia Aquarium
The world's largest aquarium, holds 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water.
Experience it through a behind-the-scenes tour. Venture to the top of the exhibits
and for those ages 10 and up-into the fish kitchen and surgery room. You don’t
want to miss our overnight family events, which give an entirely new meaning
to sleeping with the fishes. And we just launched the "Swim with Gentle
Giants" dive program.
Georgia Ensemble Theatre
Georgia Ensemble has multiple summer camps and school year classes, plus Structured
Nonsense - a teen improv night once a month that gives kids a safe place to hang
out with their friends on Saturdays. Georgia Ensemble performs shows aimed at
school groups and families, including Stuart Little in November.
Goethe-Zentrum / German Cultural Center
June 19 & 26: Kindersommer is a One-day, German language immersion program
for children aged 9-13.
September 2008: (planned date: Sept.25) See a puppet show by Augsburger Puppenkiste,
the most famous and popular German puppet theater.

Programming includes:

Family Learning Gallery offers families creative play that sparks the
imagination and enriches their visit to the Museum galleries. Ages 5-10.
Horizon Theatre
Sept.11–Nov.12: Altar Boyz This long running, critically acclaimed
musical comedy is the hilarious story of a small-town Christian boy
band about to break into the big time as they bring their tour to
Atlanta.
Dec. 6 – Jan. 4: Madeline’s Christmas
On Christmas Eve, an adventure begins and Madeline saves the day so 12 little
girls are able go home for Christmas.
July 28– Aug. 1: Musical Theatre Summer Camp
Camp StarDust is a day camp for budding stars who love to sing, dance and,
above all, perform! The fun music, drama, choreography and props classes
culminate in a performance for family and friends on Friday.
