Church

The city is filled with hundreds of Atlanta churches and houses of worship. One of the most famous remains Ebenezer Baptist Church, where three generations of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s family have preached since 1927. Other African-American churches in Atlanta include Wheat Street Baptist Church and Big Bethel AME Church.

Atlanta churches are some of the nation's largest and include Buckhead's Peachtree Presbyterian, the nation's largest Presbyterian congregation, and The Cathedral of Saint Philip, the largest Episcopal. Ahavath Achim Synagogue represents Jewish faith and the Greek Orthodox Cathedral hosts a Greek Festival in October.
