The 71,250- seat George Dome is where the Atlanta Falcons, led by head coach Mike Smith, play to win. For NBA excitement, the Atlanta Hawks run the Philips Arena court along with Atlanta’s newest franchise, the WNBA Atlanta Dream. The Atlanta Braves hammer home runs at Turner Field, which also houses the Braves Museum & Hall of Fame. Atlanta’s professional sports scene also includes car and truck racing, collegiate games and world-class golf tournaments.

The Atlanta Braves play from April through September at Turner Field. The Braves Museum and Hall of Fame features more than 600 Braves artifacts and photographs that trace the team’s history from its 1871 beginnings in Boston to Atlanta.

The Atlanta Falcons kick off the official season each September. The Georgia Dome has been the site of numerous events including the 1996 Summer Olympics, two Super Bowls, the annual Chick-fil-A Bowl and the 2007 NCAA Men’s Final Four.

Road Atlanta in Braselton is a 2.5-mile track hosting the Petit Le Mans, plus sports car, vintage, motorcycle and go-kart races from March through November. Gear up in your racing suit and head to Andretti Indoor Karting & Games where you can slip behind the wheel of SuperKart and speed away on one of the two new Andretti-designed indoor tracks.		  
College Sports College Sports
Atlanta is home to many up-and-coming athletic stars. Spring offers Georgia Tech baseball, while summer features Georgia State University’s (GSU) softball and soccer teams. Fall brings football, including the Chick-fil-A College Kickoff, 100 Black Men Football Classic, Chick-fil-A Bowl, SEC Championship, and Georgia Tech and GSU’s exciting seasons. Winter is filled with basketball games from Georgia Tech, GSU, Morehouse College and Oglethorpe University.		  
Golf in Atlanta Golf in Atlanta
Atlanta has more than 100 golf courses, public and private, encompassing the metro area. Enjoy in-town hot spots such as Charlie Yates Golf Course, North Fulton Golf Course and Bobby Jones Golf Course. Championship links just outside the perimeter include Stone Mountain Golf Club, Legacy on Lanier Golf Club, Canongate Clubs and Bear’s Best. If you are in Atlanta in September you can watch the pros at East Lake Golf Club during the finale of the PGA TOUR Playoffs at THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola.
