Atlanta Georgia

Home to prominent leaders of the Civil Rights Movement, Atlanta is the birthplace of historical events which shaped the progress of the city.

From the National Black Arts Festival to the Atlanta Jazz Festival, Martin Luther King, Jr. Week, the Sweet Auburn Springfest and the Atlanta University Center representing the largest consortium of black colleges in the world, Atlanta's diversity is everywhere.

The International Civil Rights Walk of Fame is located at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site and features the footprints of civil rights advocates. The inductees include Jimmy Carter, Thurgood Marshall, Medgar Evers, Rosa Parks, Sammy Davis, Jr. and many more.

"Atlanta offers many of the city lights, attractions and cultural offerings that you find in the likes of New York City and Washington D.C. but combines them with its own unique brand of southern charm."
