Bob Schuler is vice president of sales and convention services for Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB). Schuler has been with the ACVB since March 2000.In his current position Schuler oversees the sales and services division. He is responsible for planning and execution of programs and policy both in the Atlanta office as well as ACVB's three satellite offices in Atlanta, Chicago and Washington, D.C. Schuler has spent more than 21 years in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining ACVB he held various sales, marketing and operations positions over the course of 15 years with Marriott Hotels, including director of sales and marketing at the JW Marriott Buckhead Atlanta and the Renaissance Atlanta Hotel Downtown. Active in several industry organizations, Schuler serves on the executive committee for the Chick-fil-A Bowl. He is also a member of the American Society of Association Executives, Meeting Professionals International and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events. He has served as president of the Lenox Square Merchants Association and as Chairman for the Atlanta Marriott Joint Marketing Council. He is also a past member of the Atlanta Sports Council and the Board for the Buckhead Business Association.Schuler is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Whittemore School of Business, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in hotel management. He and his wife, Beth, reside in Marietta, Ga. with their two children.
