Lenox (Buckhead)
The Lenox retail district in northern Atlanta's fashionable Buckhead area is one of the Southeast's most prestigious shopping destinations. Located in the "Beverly Hills of the East," Lenox in Atlanta is home to a pair of regional malls — Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza — that represents the greatest concentration of upscale stores in the U.S.
The larger of the two popular Atlanta shopping malls, Lenox Square, hosts almost 250 specialty stores selling a variety of apparel, accessories, jewelry, home furnishings, and health and beauty products. Its anchor stores are Bloomingdale's, Macy's and Neiman Marcus. The sister mall of Lenox Square, Phipps Plaza, offers upscale shopping experiences at more than 100 of Buckhead's favorite stores, including anchor stores Nordstrom, Parisian and Saks Fifth Avenue. Both Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza are located at the intersection of Peachtree and Lenox Roads.
Every July Fourth, Lenox Square becomes the starting point for the annual Peachtree Road Race 10K, the world's most popular 10-kilometer race. The Independence Day fireworks display at Lenox in Atlanta is the city's largest.
