Dunwoody
Dunwoody is an upscale community in metro Atlanta. Located just north of the I-285 Perimeter, Dunwoody, GA, is convenient to the area's thriving Perimeter Center business district, which claims a number of Fortune 500 companies in its midst. Dunwoody, Georgia's Perimeter Mall features 200 stores and restaurants, including anchor stores Bloomingdale's, Dillard's, Macy's and Nordstrom. The arts, too, are well-represented in Dunwoody. The Stage Door Players present professional theater, cabaret and children's productions at the North DeKalb Cultural Center. The area also offers numerous opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities. The Dunwoody Nature Center features trails, gardens, a picnic spot and a kids' playground, while the Liane Levetan Park has its own skate park. Annual events include a Fourth of July parade, the Light Up Dunwoody holiday celebration and Lemonade Days, a fundraiser for the Dunwoody Preservation Trust. The community's town hall makes its home in the Cheek-Spruill Farmhouse, a late 19th-century structure listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Dunwoody, GA, lies in an unincorporated area of Georgia's DeKalb County.
