Druid Hills
One of Atlanta's oldest suburbs, Druid Hills is a residential neighborhood with an impeccable pedigree. Famed American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr. created the original design of Druid Hills. Likewise, the early 20th-century mansions and bungalows of Druid Hills in Atlanta, Georgia, bear the imprint of several noted architects and represent a variety of architectural styles, such as Italian Renaissance and Tudor. One of the homes of Druid Hills made a cameo appearance in the film Driving Miss Daisy. Druid Hills in Atlanta, GA, is also known for its Olmsted-designed linear parks extending along Ponce de Leon Avenue.
The Atlanta Preservation Center offers Druid Hills walking tours, while the Druid Hills Civic Association conducts an annual Druid Hills Home and Garden Tour.
