Looking for things to do in Atlanta this holiday weekend? Here are our picks.

Carol’s Picks
Carol is the ATL Insider’s culture vulture. If there is a new exhibit in town or a new show on the stage, Carol is the first to know about it.

  • Garden Lights, Holiday Nights, through Jan. 7, 2017
If you've not seen this light show at Atlanta Botanical Garden, this might be your year to remedy that. I went last year, shortly after Christmas, and it poured and poured. But, you know what, we had a ball anyway, and we weren't the only intrepid souls braving the rain. Even as we dripped, we noted that the lights gave off lots of extra twinkles because of the raindrops. It's a spectacular sight worth seeing.

  • Deck the Hall, through New Year's Day
Get ready for college football bowl season at the College Football Hall of Fame. In addition to the regular exhibits, enjoy photo opps, ornament crafts and a visit from a special elf. While you're there, take a stroll through Centennial Olympic Park. Maybe even go ice skating in the park.

Tommy's Picks
Tommy is a young professional keeping an eye out for the city's liveliest happenings.

  • Chanukah Celebration and Grand Menorah LightingSunday
If you're looking for a menorah lighting that will be a "latke" fun, look no further than the corner of Virginia and Highland for a holiday treats, prizes, music and a live fire show.

  • 2016 Macy's Pink Pig at Lenox Squarethrough Jan. 1, 2017
Time's running out to catch this classic Atlanta holiday tradition at Lenox Square. Bring the family and experience a life-sized storybook under the 170-foot Pink Pig tent.

  • Skate Atlantic Station 2016, through Feb. 14, 2017
The holiday season doesn't count if you don't go ice skating at least once. Strap on your skates and take to the ice at Atlantic Station while this season attraction is open.
