Ready for a fun weekend in Atlanta? Here's what's on our schedule.

Carol’s Picks
Carol is the ATL Insider’s culture vulture. If there is a new exhibit in town or a new show on the stage, Carol is the first to know about it.

  • Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, all weekend
Alvin Ailey dancers inspire in so many ways. The first way, of course, is the amazing grace and athleticism of the troupe. Another way is this: If those dancers can work as hard as they must to dance the way they do, then most of us, if not all of us, can conquer whatever it is we are striving to do. I mean: Have you seen an Alvin Ailey performance? If you are going for the first time, prepare to be amazed.

  • The Music of Simon & Garfunkel, Friday and Saturday
Are you kidding me? The music of these two legends with full orchestration? Who wouldn't love this?

Joleen's Picks
Joleen is a work-at-home mom to a 3-year-old son. She and her family live in the 'burbs but enjoy regularly traveling into the city for family-friendly fun and adventure.

  • Snow Mountain, through Feb. 26
Bundle up! It's your last chance to play in the snow this winter. Build snowmen, throw snowballs and make snow angels in the [fake] snow at SnowZone. Tube down Avalanche Alley and push your little ones down a mini-hill on SnoBoggan. It's sure to be a great time.
  •  Wild Winter Days at Zoo Atlanta, through Feb. 28
Take advantage of the winter discount at Zoo Atlanta for guests of all ages. Same great exhibits. $15.99 per person; free for children younger than 3.

Tommy's Picks
Tommy is a young professional keeping an eye out for the city's liveliest happenings.

  • HighballSaturday
Clink glasses with distinguished local mixologists at the High Museum of Art. Your presence (and your discerning palate) is requested.

  • Sweetwater 20th Anniversary PartySunday
Come sing "Happy Birthday" to one of Atlanta's best-loved breweries. Enjoy onsite food trucks and sample drafts, casks and barrel aged beers.
