There are myriad ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Atlanta, from parades to bar crawls to green-hued beverages. We've even heard that there are some excellent Irish pubs great for celebrating St. Patrick's Day or "shamrocking out" with friends year round.

Events take place throughout the month of March, meaning all of you leprechauns and lucky charms have quite a few opportunities to become Irish for a day (or two).

  • St. Patrick’s Day Celebration: On the actual holiday, head to Fado Irish Pub in Buckhead or Midtown to start the day early with Kegs and Eggs, live music and Irish dancers. March 17.

  • St. Patrick's Day Party at Olde Blinde Dog: This Brookhaven shindig boasts "beers, music, and lots of green!" Check, check, and check. March 17.

  • The 2nd Annual Atlanta Streetcar St. Patrick's Day Bar Crawl: Hop on and off the Atlanta Streetcar and visit historic Edgewood Ave, Centennial Park, Fairlie Poplar, and Peachtree Corridor districts while enjoying five drink tickets, food and drink specials, an after party, and more. March 19.

  • St. Party's Day at Buckhead Saloon: While this may rate lower on the "Irish-ometer," it's helpful for those of us who can't just go out and party on a Wednesday night. (Dear Saint Patrick–please schedule your day during weekends. Sincerely, people with jobs.) March 19.

  • 13th Annual Shamjam Shuckfest: Pop over to Tin Roof Cantina for indoor and outdoor stages, bars, beer pong, cornhole and plenty of beer. March 26.
