There are a lot of places to meet and hold a morning business meeting. Many people like the ambiance of a hotel restaurant. Others prefer busy restaurants such as OK Cafe to discuss business. But, thanks to certain coffee mega-chains, the coffeehouse is now THE place to close the deal or have that final interview.

Here are some of our favorite places to conduct a business meeting while sipping a great cup of Joe.

  1. Cafe Intermezzo was one of the first places that brought the essence of a European coffeehouse to Atlanta. Now with four locations (airport, Avalon, Dunwoody and Midtown), Cafe Intermezzo has a beverage book with more than 800 choices and more than 70 pastries.

  2. A true “power breakfast/coffee” institution, the Corner Cafe is always bustling with business deals and servers delivering signature dishes such as white chocolate French toast and eggs Benedict. Located in Buckhead, the cafe serves locally roasted Pano’s Reserve blend coffee with freshly baked goods.

  3. Dancing Goats Coffee Bar features local roaster Batdorf and Bronson beans. With two locations, in Decatur and Ponce City Market, Dancing Goats offers plenty of space for spreadsheets and deal making.

  4. Elon's Bakery & Market is a favorite meeting place for those who want a chocolate croissant with their java. Located in Morningside and Dunwoody, this award-winning restaurant has the feel of a European market and is known for its high-quality, made-from-scratch breads, cakes, pastries and sandwiches.

  5. Highland Bakery was started when Stacey Earmes wanted a place so people could get really good coffee. She then went on to muffins and bread. From there she started Highland Bakery. Now with several locations in Atlanta, the restaurant is famous for its sweet potato pancakes, country-fried steak Benedict and locally roasted coffee.

  6. JavaVino Coffee & Wine House is a laid-back coffee shop in Poncey-Highland that serves Selva Negra Estate coffee, grown by the shop owner’s parents. And, if your morning meeting lasts long — real long — JavaVino turns into a tapas and wine shop at night.

  7. To say that The Neighborhood Cafe is in the basement of the restaurant Parish isn’t quite right. Yes, it’s in the lower level of this Old Fourth Ward eatery, but the atmosphere is more Tuscany than basement.

  8. Octane Coffee + Little Tart Bakeshop is always busy. This wonderful shop is located in the Old Fourth Ward by Oakland Cemetery. The coffee is delicious, and the pastries make the experience exceptional.

  9. West Egg Cafe is located in the city’s bursting Westside and features a Southern food menu and hot, satisfying coffee. The shop uses Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters, which selects and roasts the finest coffees at a roaster fewer than two miles from the restaurant to ensure the freshest brews. Not in the mood for coffee? The shop also offers teas, chai, milk steamers, fruit smoothies and French sodas.
