6 Fun Atlanta Spots for Graduation Photos

Congratulations! You’ve spent the last four plus years working hard on your degree and now you’re graduating. In addition to taking graduation announcement photos at your soon-to-be alma mater, why not consider a meaningful photo tour throughout Atlanta. Here are the best places to take graduation photos in Atlanta.

1. Piedmont Park

Located in the heart of the city, Piedmont Park has it all in the way of great photo shoot backdrops-beautiful trees, a gazebo on a bridge, a dock overlooking Lake Clara Meer and most notably the Atlanta cityscape.

2. Atlanta Botanical Garden

Located right next door to Piedmont Park is Atlanta Botanical Garden, home to 30 acres of breathtaking gardens and exhibits, providing for unique and colorful backdrops. The garden also displays ornate sculptures, art and water features.

3. The Atlanta BeltLine

There are so many fun photo ops along the Atlanta BeltLine. Check out the website for a current list of art along the BeltLine- everything from sculptures to large murals- as well as the locations. Get creative. Rent bikes. Bring your dog. Show what makes you, you!

4. Centennial Olympic Park

In addition to fun street art backdrops, pose near the SkyView Atlanta Ferris wheel then hop on over to Centennial Olympic Park – another a great photo location, rich in history. You’ll definitely want to include the Fountain of Rings.

5. Truist Stadium/ The Battery

Sports lovers may want to commemorate with graduation photos inside and outside the stadium. There’s nothing more “Atlanta” than donning a Braves jersey.

6. The Varsity

What’ll ya have? You can’t visit Atlanta much less go to school here and not eat at The Varsity at least once. It’s an Atlanta icon located right next to Georgia Tech in all its vintage glory. Don your varsity jacket and sit on the hood of your car for a fun ’50s vibe.
